Believers we all have been through troubles that have been insurmountable and it seems that a flood of fears just takes over your thoughts. Lately, I have suffered with respiratory problems, and feel that a geographical move is emanate for my survival. Georgia is in the southern states of the USA, the pollen count goes high in the spring and makes you very sick with nose, eye, hear and throat infections. I suffer with asthma, which was diagnosed after my fiftieth birthday, what present right! Well any way all year the weather affects my body in many negative ways. I had a medical provider tell me over ten years ago that I must move to get relief and as I age the respiratory problems get increasingly worse. I love Georgia and the seasons are beautiful, but the Lord has sent a clear signal to my spirit to make a move. I am struggling with that decision now, and know a move to a dry region like California would improve my health. However, my finances have imploded and does not support this transition. My adversary, the devil has clouded my path with concerns that are frivolous and this has impacted my reasoning.
Saints what do you do when you are faced with adversity? My advice is go to the throne rather than the phone! Also, when the smoke screen appears you must come up higher to evaluate your options. Meditation and prayer.... and more prayer are imperative to solve life challenges. I know all this but even I sometimes find it difficult to do what I know is right.
We are supernatural beings having natural experiences, and I've faced many life challenges before. So, I know the savior lives and he is well equipped to handle any barrier that comes before me. I asked him today to show me the way in this dark time.
Many of our bible heroes and sheroes have faced critical decisions too. Take for instance the story of Paul, because of his teachings he was thrown in jail, "Along about midnight, Paul and Silas were at prayer and singing a robust hymn to God. The other prisoners couldn't believe their ears. Then, without warning, a huge earthquake! The jailhouse tottered, every door flew open, all the prisoners were loose." ACTS 16: 25-26
I am saying all this to express this....you can face these challenges wearing the breast plate of righteousness or you can fall on your face in the dirt. I prefer to fall on my face in fervent prayer, and I am convinced that is the answer.
