You know, our youth is the world's most precious gift, and the blessings on that generation is very rich! When you become an adult you gain a moral compass and can stand in your promise by having wisdom. However, your thoughts can hinder your progress, leading you to have childish or unrealistic ideals. My grandmother used to say, "once a man twice a child", which led me to believe her to mean that when you are young there is grace. God says in 1 Corinthians 13:11-12, “It’s like this: When I was a child I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child does. But when I grew up, I put away childish things. Now we see things imperfectly as in a poor mirror, but then we will see everything with perfect clarity. All that I know now is partial and incomplete, but then I will know everything completely, just as God knows me now.” Wow, what a word to ponder on today.
As we embark on what is thought to be the peek of an information age, with an “app” for about everything, we struggle surrounding God’s will for our lives. Our spiritual GPS is broken, and we are bankrupting our lives by being too in touch with unnecessary things.
The other day, I watched a family walk into the grocery store together, and they seemed so disjointed. Of course, I was cooling out, sitting under an umbrella, eating ice cream and people watching. I observed the two children with some phone or other device in their hands, walking blindly, the parent seemed to have no clue what they were focusing on! However, I noticed a cold loveless crew of people, rather than a loving family. I say this to express what a shame that is, because we cannot even go to the grocery store without "being connected" , while having the most important people in life right in our mist.
Please, family of God let’s wake up. Encourage each other; be lovers and hearers of the word of God, he will set you free from the unnecessary foils of life.
Love, live and be more like him, today!!!!

Much Love… Dede
