Webster
online says, “the definition of COURAGE: mental or moral
strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty.”
(1) We often find it difficult to summon
courage in the face of fear. You know I spoke about this in a previous post,
and believe this subject needs further explanation. In our lives sometime, especially during trials, we have our backs against the wall. However, we know that with the Lord will
find us a door, corner to turn, or even a window to jump through; to escape and
prohibit us from perishing. He will not leave or forsake us saints. His
intention is to allow us to go through some troubles to fine tune our skills
for future things, especially in the ministry. Last year was my time to
experience some of those tough places, but I let God handle the mess, and he
did!
Their were three Hebrew boys went through a fiery trial because they would not renounce God and bow to the
King,"17 If
we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us
from it, and he will deliver us
from
Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But
even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty that we will not serve
your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” (2) Daniel 3:17-18
We tend to want to get out of the pain quickly, but the Lord wants us to be refined, so that we may come out with
knowledge. Sometimes the problem is caused by a person close to you, in the family or at work. The bible talks about this a lot, but the scripture that comes to mind is
the following verse, “As iron sharpens iron, so one
person sharpens another.”(3)Proverbs 27:17
Well, those verses say it all for me today, because
courage requires patients and stamina to wait on the Lord Jesus
Christ.
Be well, take courage, and be grateful for
what you have!
